Banff & the Bow Valley
Banff Wedding Car Rental
Luxury wedding transportation for Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise. Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Cadillac Escalade chauffeured service — or self-drive across the Bow Valley.
A Banff wedding is one of the most photographed destination ceremonies in Canada. Couples travel from across North America to say their vows at the Fairmont Banff Springs, Lake Louise, the Rimrock, Mount Engadine Lodge, and dozens of smaller venues across the Bow Valley.
The Foreigns delivers luxury wedding car rental for Banff, Canmore, and Lake Louise weddings — chauffeured service from Calgary or YYC, or local pickup once you're already in town. Rolls Royce Ghost, Bentley Flying Spur, Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, and the rest of our fleet, with the timing precision a destination wedding demands.
Destination Logistics
Banff Weddings Aren't Calgary Weddings
A Calgary wedding usually involves driving 30 to 60 minutes between venues. A Banff wedding involves a 90-minute drive from YYC, an unpredictable mountain weather window, gravel access roads at some venues, and parking constraints at the iconic ones. We plan for all of it.
Our chauffeurs know the route. They know the speed limits in Banff National Park (different from the highway), the parking layout at the Fairmont, the access window at Lake Louise, the difference between Tunnel Mountain Reservoir and Two Jack Lake for photo stops. They're not arriving for the first time on your wedding day.
Park-pass note: Banff National Park requires a valid park pass for all vehicles inside the park boundary. We include a daily pass with every booking that crosses the gate — no need for your guests to deal with it.

Logistics
Three Ways to Arrive
YYC airport pickup, chauffeured to Banff
Most common for out-of-town couples. We collect you at YYC Calgary International, drive you to your Banff hotel or directly to the venue, and stay for the day's transportation needs. Includes flight tracking and meet-and-greet.
Local pickup in Banff or Canmore
If you're already in town for a multi-day wedding weekend, we position the vehicle at your hotel the morning of the ceremony. No long drive from Calgary baked into your day.
Self-drive from Calgary to the Bow Valley
For couples who want to drive themselves through the mountains. Multi-day self-drive rentals include the highway mileage to Banff. Common for engagement shoots and pre-wedding photo sessions.
FAQ
Banff Wedding Transportation, Answered
Do you serve weddings in Banff and Lake Louise from Calgary?
Yes. Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, and the broader Bow Valley are part of our standard service area. Most bookings include either airport pickup at YYC with chauffeured transport to the venue, or local pickup once you're already in the mountains.
How long is the drive from Calgary or YYC to Banff?
Calgary downtown to Banff: about 90 minutes (130 km) via Highway 1. YYC airport to Banff: 90 to 100 minutes depending on highway conditions. Lake Louise adds another 45 minutes from Banff. We build extra buffer into the schedule for mountain weather and any unexpected stops your photographer wants.
Do we need a Banff park pass?
Yes — Banff National Park requires a valid park pass for every vehicle inside the park boundary. We include a daily pass with every booking that crosses the gate, so your guests don't have to deal with it.
Can the vehicle handle mountain weather?
Our fleet includes all-wheel-drive options (Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, Lamborghini Aventador AWD) that handle highway conditions reliably. For weddings in shoulder seasons (late October through April), we recommend the Escalade or another AWD vehicle for the highway portion. We monitor weather and proactively confirm timing if conditions look uncertain.
Can you do the Lake Louise / Moraine Lake photo loop?
Yes — this is one of our most-requested Banff add-ons. After the ceremony we drive the couple and photographer to Moraine Lake or the Lake Louise lakeshore for portraits, hold the car for the duration of the photo session, and transport everyone back. Moraine Lake access requires a separate shuttle in peak season; we coordinate that.
How is destination wedding pricing calculated?
Destination quotes include vehicle hours, mileage to and from the mountains, the daily Banff park pass, and (for late receptions) an optional chauffeur overnight allowance. Multi-day weekends are quoted as a package rather than per-day. You receive a single proposal with everything itemised.
What's the most popular vehicle for a Banff wedding?
Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum — the all-wheel drive, the higher ride height for mountain roads, and the seven-seat capacity work better for a destination day than a sedan. Rolls Royce Ghost and Bentley Flying Spur are second most-popular for the photo aesthetic, particularly at the Fairmont Banff Springs.
Do you serve Canmore weddings the same way?
Yes. Canmore is closer to Calgary than Banff (just outside the park gate) so the logistics are slightly simpler. No park pass required. Same fleet, same service standard.
How far in advance should I book a Banff wedding car?
For peak season (June through September), 6 to 9 months ahead. Banff Saturday weddings in summer book the busiest Calgary-area wedding suppliers months in advance, and we're no exception. For winter weddings and shoulder season, 60 to 90 days is often enough.
Can you accommodate elopement weddings or just the couple?
Yes — Banff elopements are a real category and a growing one. Single-vehicle elopement packages (just the couple and an officiant, or just the couple and a photographer) are quoted at a different price point from full wedding packages. Often booked alongside a self-drive vehicle for the days surrounding the ceremony.
