Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before booking a vehicle with The Foreigns. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Overview
The Foreigns (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a luxury vehicle rental service in Calgary, Alberta, offering both self-drive rentals and chauffeured transportation. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website at theforeigns.ca and all related booking services.
2. Eligibility
To book a vehicle with The Foreigns, you must:
- Be at least 25 years of age
- Hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s licence (for self-drive rentals)
- Provide a valid credit card in the renter’s name
- Present valid government-issued identification upon request
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these requirements or whose driving record indicates excessive violations.
3. Reservations & Booking
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and our review process. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee confirmation. Once we confirm your reservation, a binding agreement is formed subject to these terms.
- A deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your reservation
- The remaining balance is due as specified on your invoice
- All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes
4. Self-Drive Rentals
When renting a vehicle for self-drive use, you agree to:
- Operate the vehicle in a safe, lawful manner and in compliance with all traffic laws
- Not permit any unauthorized person to drive the vehicle
- Not use the vehicle for racing, towing, off-road driving, or any illegal activity
- Not smoke, vape, or allow pets in the vehicle without prior written approval
- Return the vehicle at the agreed-upon date, time, and location with the same fuel level
- Report any accidents, damage, or mechanical issues immediately
5. Chauffeured Services
For chauffeured bookings:
- Our driver will arrive at the designated pickup location at the agreed time
- Accurate pickup and drop-off addresses must be provided at the time of booking
- Additional stops or route changes may incur extra charges
- Passengers are expected to treat the vehicle and driver with respect
- We reserve the right to terminate a trip if passenger behaviour is unsafe or disruptive
6. Late Returns & Fees
Vehicles must be returned on time. Late returns are subject to the following:
- A brief grace period may apply as outlined in your rental agreement
- Late return fees are charged on an hourly basis after the grace period
- Excessively late returns may be treated as unauthorized use and reported accordingly
7. Damage & Liability
You are responsible for the vehicle from the time of pickup until return. This includes:
- Any damage to the vehicle, whether caused by accident, negligence, or misuse
- Loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle (we are not liable)
- Traffic violations, parking tickets, and toll charges incurred during your rental period
- Interior cleaning fees if the vehicle is returned in an unacceptable condition
A security deposit or hold may be placed on your credit card at the start of the rental and released upon satisfactory return of the vehicle.
8. Insurance
Basic liability insurance is included with all self-drive rentals as required by Alberta law. Additional coverage options may be available and will be outlined at the time of booking. You are encouraged to review your personal auto insurance policy or credit card benefits for supplementary coverage.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Foreigns shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our vehicles or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific booking in question.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of The Foreigns and is protected by Canadian copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
